ATTENTION PROVIDERS : Remember to review both sets of instructions listed below. You must call CBIS to obtain a password to be able to upload electronic billing. Some providers continue to have problems with several things when they submit their billing: 1) Naming their file correctly, 2) Electronic billing is for NEW BILLS ONLY - NO RESUBS, and various other issues. If you have questions about your billing, please contact your program assistant at CBIS.

NOTE: Your billing file must be uploaded by midnight on the cut-off date. CBIS encourages providers to not wait until the last minute to upload their file. If your file is uploaded after the midnight deadline, your file will not be processed. Uploaded files are time-stamped with the date and time the file was uploaded to the CBIS server. If you are having Internet issues and are having a problem uploading your file, do not wait until after the cut-off to call CBIS.

ATTENTION: IF YOU ARE TRYING TO UPLOAD A FILE AND A SECURITY BOX POPS UP ASKING IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE, PLEASE CLICK YES. OUR SECURITY SOFTWARE HAS BEEN UPDATED AND IT IS SAFE TO UPLOAD YOUR FILES.

***NOTE: If you have saved your file as Excel 97, you are following OLD instructions (see above). There is a Microsoft Y2K bug when files go from Excel 97 to newer versions of Excel (which we use) that may cause your dates of service to revert to old dates that will deny payment. Save your file as the latest version of Excel, NOT Excel 97. CBIS has the latest version of Excel, so whatever you are using will be fine. Do NOT save "back" to an older version of Excel.
